Bridging Time in Menai Bridge, or Porthaethwy as it is alsoMenai bridge celtic cross known, is a walk through the millennia showing the development of the Town through its geology and history. Walk with Celts, Romans and Vikings, Saints and Drovers as we introduce you to the Davies Family, characters, ferries, fairs, trade, ships and the early visitors that shaped the town.

menai bridge bike signAbove all – literally - tower Thomas Telford’s iconic Menai  Suspension Bridge and Roberts Stephenson’s great Britannia Tubular Bridge. We’ll help you get to know these bridges better. They span the Menai Strait with its unique diversity of marine life and one of the most dangerous waters in Britain. Nelson said of these waters ‘if you can sail the Menai Strait then you can sail anywhere in the world’.

Walking the Talk!

The walks are taking place in: Beaumaris, Caernarfon, Conwy, Holyhead, Llandudno, Llangollen, Menai Bridge.

Walks last around one and half-hours. Just turn up. Adults £4, Children £2. Special walks can be arranged for groups.
