FREE Guided Town Walks for British Tourism Week

The fourth annual British Tourism Week (BTW) takes place from 15 - 21 March 2010 with his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales once again being Patron for this series of inter-related events, which aims to raise local, regional, national and international awareness of the size, value and importance of Britain's £114 billion visitor economy. North Wales Tour Guides Association are supporting this event by offering four of their popular Trails with Tales walks FREE during the week. The walks, which last around one and half-hours, are suitable for all ages and are led by a qualified guide. The trails tell the people's stories bringing history to life. Even local residents will learn new secrets about their streets!

Times and places to turn up for the free walk are:

Llandudno Victorian Elegance
Pier Entrance. Tuesday 16th March - 2.00pm

Caernarfon Hauntings & Hangings
Y Galeri. Wednesday 17th March - 6.30pm

Llangollen Where Wales Welcomes the World
Tourist information Centre. Thursday 18th March - 2.00pm

Conwy Conquests and Crossings
Vicarage Gardens Car park. Thursday 18th March- 2.00pm

 

Walking the Talk!

The walks are taking place in:  Caernarfon, Conwy,  Llandudno, Llangollen.
