Moats and Murders in Beaumaris

Most people know that Beaumaris has a castle, but do you know who built it and why is it so far from the bridge? And why does aLawyer milking cow in Beaumaris courthouse town in North Wales have a French name?

On our walk-

  • We'll also tell you about Queen Victoria's visit to the area.
  • The stories associated with the 17th century courthouse.
  • The clock that was cursed.
  • The gaol where murderers were hung.
  • The 'treachery of the blue books' which still affects education in Wales to this day.
